About us
Plow & Promise helps Seventh-day Adventist and like-minded Christian families leave the cities wisely and live out the counsel to settle in the country: finding the right land, growing their own food, and building a simple, healthy, Christ-centered life.
Why we built this
Buying country land is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and the mistakes are expensive: a well that runs dry, a septic system that won't pass, a road that floods, a commute that wears a family down. The facts that would have warned you are usually public, but scattered across dozens of government maps. We gather them, explain them in plain words, and fit them to your family's plans, so you can decide with your eyes open.
What we believe
We are a Seventh-day Adventist ministry-minded business. The Bible guides everything we do, and we keep the Sabbath: we're closed from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. We believe in faith, not fear: preparing calmly for the future is part of trusting God, never a reason to panic.
We lead with gardens, orchards and growing food, and we write about land the way a careful neighbor would: honestly, including what we don't know yet.
How we work
- Honest data. Every fact in a report comes from a public source we name. When something isn't available, we say so. We never fill a gap with a guess.
- Your family first. Your score reflects your work, church, budget and plans, not just the land.
- Scores aren't for sale. No referral or advertising relationship ever changes a score or what a report says.
